     4-Rounds, Swiss-System Chess Tournament, 30 Moves/90 Minutes, Then Sudden Death/1 Hour (30/90, SD/60), open to players rated Under 2000 or Unrateds. Entry Fee: $40, Marshall Club Members $25-- ENTRY FEES $2 LESS for players registering online no later than the Thursday before the tournament! $2 ADVANCE ENTRY FEE DISCOUNT APPLIES ONLY FOR PLAYERS REGISTERING ONLINE! NO OTHER ADVANCE ENTRY DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE!

 MAY BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 26 PLAYERS TO PAY THE ENTRY FEE!

Top-Scoring Player Rated Under 1800: $70

     Your choice of two separate playing options:

 1. Two-Day Schedule, Rounds 12:30 and 5:30 pm each day;

2. One-Day Schedule, Rounds Sunday at 10 am, 11:15 am, 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (rounds 1-2 of the 1-Day Schedule only are Game/30; both schedules merge for Round 3 on Sunday).

      Current USCF membership is required of ALL PLAYERS. Official USCF October 2006 Rating List http://www.uschess.org/msa will be used.  CCA ratings http://www.chesstour.com/mr.htm may be used at Director's discretion.

     Players who register in advance should be at the Marshall Chess Club when their first game begins. Players who do not register in advance must register at site, at least 15 minutes before their first game. On-site registration IS ONLY ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT, AFTER 11:30 AM.

     Limit of two half-point byes available if committed to before Round 2. Re-entry: $20.

     Entry fee refunded to players who inform the Tournament Director that they will withdraw from tournament NO LATER THAN THE THURSDAY BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT. $2 service charge for each player refund requested on the Friday before the tournament-- BEFORE 8 pm. NO EMAIL RECEIVED AFTER 8 PM ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT. $5 service charge for each player refund requested by phone on the day of the tournament-- AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE GAME BEGINS. ** NO REFUNDS ALLOWED AFTER 15 MINUTES BEFORE GAME BEGINS. NO REFUNDS TO PLAYERS WHO FORFEIT WITHOUT PROPER ADVANCE NOTICE (NO-SHOWS)! **
